XIFilm is the world's first feature film created entirely over the Internet and is designed to decentralize the film production process and make it accessible to participants all over the world via the Internet. Participants are not required to have any previous film experience and can participate in any or all of the three following groups:
1. Production Team (audio/visual artists)
2. Production-Assistance Team (non-artist types who can offer "idle" computer time for the production team by downloading and installing the XIFilm screensaver)
3. Marketing Team (individuals who will create a world-wide fan base for the film)
